The Boston globe has started up a new blog called “The Big Picture.” It’s a photoblog of sorts, but showing the photos in humungous form. The idea is a novel one, especially for the newspaper industry where photos are usually thought of as an after thought.
I really like it. It shows scale much better, and shows the magnitude of things, which we miss a lot just looking at photos in the newspaper or seeing on CNN. This is especially evident in the Koren protest photos, as well as the Chinese Earthquake photos.
